This is a post I shared back in November I thought I'd reshare it today.
We have been given many precious promises in our walk with God. One of those promises is that no matter where He has called us to go he will get us there. In the above scriptures you can see that Jesus has told the disciples to go to the other side of the lake. But what happened while they were going to the other side? A storm hit. Often times when we are walking through life we walk through hard seasons (storms). Sometimes the circumstances are so bad that we question how we are going to accomplish what God has called us to do.
The storm that was talked about in this scripture was not just a simple rain shower. We are told that the waves were so tall that the boat was filling with water. That would be scary. But do you see what happened when the disciples became afraid and woke Jesus? They were rebuked for their lack of faith. They did not understand that if Jesus has told them to go to the other side he wouldn't let him drown. They had no reason to fear. It is the same way with us if we allow God to direct our steps then he'll get us through whatever storm may come.
“A man’s steps are established by the Lord, and He takes pleasure in his way. Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, because the Lord holds his hand.”
Psalms 37:23-24 HCSB
Have a blessed day,
