A Future and A Hope

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the lord
“They are plans for good and not for disaster,
to give you a future and a hope.
            Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

As Christians, the future for us does not have to be one of doubt or fear. We can have the peace of knowing that hopeful expectation is what God wants for us. How do we know this  applies to us? To God we're all important and he does not play favorites (Romans 2:11) So no matter who you are these truths apply to you.  Here's what the Bible tells us:
      •    God wants to give us the desires of our heart. (Psalms 37:4)
      •    God has promised to show us the path of life (Psalms 16:11)
      •    As our Shepherd he promised to lead us and guide us.  (John 10:3&4)
      •    God promised us that he has us by the hand and if we should stumble he won't allow us to fall (Psalms 37:24)
      •    He loves us enough to claim us as his children. (Matt. 7:11)

This, is just a small sampling of the scriptures I could have used! Are you beginning to see that the God we serve wants to give us a future and a hope (Jer 29:11)? We serve a God that is passionately in love with us. He proved that by choosing to go to the cross and die for us (John 3:16).
The future does not have to be in doubt to anyone that is a follower of Christ. As you look towards the days and weeks ahead, go forth in confidence with the full knowledge that you are deeply loved by God himself. And that is a fact that will never change!

Be blessed friends,
